Q: What is Husky Island?
A: An Unreal Engine adventure about exploration, survival, and bonding with a husky pack on a mysterious island.

Q: Where do I get the demo?
A: Go to Downloads & Extras and click “Request Demo.”

Installation

Q: How do I install the Windows demo?
A: Unzip the archive, open the folder, and run HuskyIsland.exe. If SmartScreen warns you, choose “More info > Run anyway.”

Q: Is there a Mac version?
A: Not yet. We’re testing one. Watch Dev Log for updates.

Q: Do I need special drivers?
A: Update your GPU drivers (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel) and make sure DirectX 12 is installed via Windows Update.

Saving & Progress

Q: Does the demo save?
A: Yes. Auto-saves at campfires. Manual save in the Pause Menu.

Q: Where are save files?
A: Documents\\HuskyIsland\\Saved\\SaveGames

Troubleshooting

Q: The game won’t launch.
A: Reboot, update GPU drivers, run as Administrator, and unzip to a folder without special characters.

Q: Low performance or stutter.
A: Use Windowed mode, lower Shadows/Post-Processing, close background apps, and ensure it’s on your SSD.

Q: Controller not detected.
A: Plug in before launch. On Steam, disable overlapping remaps. Windows: check “Game Controllers” panel.

Q: Audio missing.
A: Verify default output device in Windows Sound settings; toggle in-game audio off/on in Options.
